I’m dribbling the ball as fast as I can down the court.

Sweat is pouring down my face,

feeling as if I could fill up a bucket

 

The score is 66-67, with 10 seconds left

The University of Connecticut’s up

Baylor, my team, is down

 

It’s the Women’s National Championship Game,

and if UCONN wins, it’ll be their 3^rd year in a row.

 

I’m at half court now,

5 seconds are on the clock

 

I hear my teammates yelling at me from behind,

SHOOT IT!! SHOOT IT!!! The clock is winding down,

3…2…1…,

 

Right before 1 second,

I release the ball. I see it sailing through the air

like a kite on a windy day

 

It has the distance

it has the angle

its…,its…,

 

BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!!

Oh great it’s just another dream!
