My Best Friend

My best friend is Bethany. She is a sophomore in high school and plays volleyball, softball, and tennis.
She is around 5’4″ with long, dark brown hair. Her eyes are bright blue and she has an athletic stature as well as a perfect smile (thanks to braces).
Although we go to different schools, we usually hang out about once every other week. When we hang out, we usually watch tv at one of our houses or we go out to eat at Chick-Fil-A or El Sombrero and then catch a movie afterwards.
During the summer, I take her to the lake with some other friends and we spend the whole day tanning in the hot sun while tubing, skiing, and laying out on the beach playing volleyball or throwing the frisbee.
We met at a mutual friend’s house one night after I had just played a basketball game. She was absolutely crazy- jumping off the trampoline, diving through the open window of a moving car, ding-dong-ditching the crazy neighbors house, introducing me to the world of “rolling a house”- but that was okay because she was the fun kind of crazy, the kind of crazy that keeps you entertained.
Throughout the three years I’ve known Bethany, we have grown inseparable to the point that I consider her my sister. Bethany has such a compassionate heart and a go-get-it attitude, she will definitely achieve great things in her life. She has a heart and a longing for Christ which makes her an inspiration to all, especially me. She strives for me to be the best person I can be in all aspects of my life; physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Our friendship is as strong as it because we have everything in common (except for our taste buds). We always have each other’s back’s and will always be there for each other through whatever obstacles life throws our way. The fact that I can come to her for anything and everything means the world to me and helps me to trust her because she always gives me the best advice.
Our bond is strong because our relationship is built on God, love, trust, and each other. Bethany is my absolute best friend and my constant companion. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for our unique for our unique friendship.

  1. She sounds like a great friend. Nicely stated.
